IPE Seal 1 liter

Ipe Seal 1 liter is a professional-grade wax emulsion sealant designed specifically to prevent end-checking (cracks and splitting) in freshly cut exotic hardwoods. By sealing the exposed end grain, it slows the drying process to match the rest of the board, maintaining structural integrity and preventing up to 90% of drying splits.

Key Features & Application

• High Coverage: One quart (approx. 1 liter) covers roughly 500 square feet of deck board ends.
• Fast Application: It is recommended to apply the sealer within 24 hours of cutting the wood. It dries to the touch in less than 1–2 hours and fully cures in 24 hours.
• Appearance: The solution is a milky-white liquid that dries clear, forming a flexible, vapor-permeable membrane.
